Author Steven Hill talks about his book, Raw Deal: How the Uber Economy and Runaway Capitalism Are Screwing American Workers, about the evolution and negative effects he believes the “gig economy” is having on the U.S. workforce. “Gig economy” refers to an environment in which workers contract with employers for short-term positions and receive no health insurance or job security.
